DVD Replication

Videofiles offers DVD replication services for orders from 1000 to millions. Employing advanced replication technology, sophisticated quality control equipment and high-speed automated assembly, Videofiles delivers top-quality DVDs in large volume. Our proven customer service and very competitive pricing has made Videofiles the DVD replication choice of large corporations and small business owners for nearly twenty years.

Videofiles can replicate all DVD products including DVD-Video, DVD-ROM, DVD-Audio and DVD-Hybrids in the following formats:

  • DVD 5: single sided/single layer (4.7GB)
  • DVD 9: single sided/dual layer (8.5 GB)
  • DVD 10: dual sided sided/single layer (9.4GB)

Videofiles’ replication technology allows for printing directly onto the face of any DVD by utilizing two different methods; Silk-Screen & Photo-Offset

Silk Screen : A screen is prepared by exposing a film to a screen covered in a layer of light-sensitive emulsion and, after processing, the resulting image is a clear area on the screen which allows the ink through. Most DVDs are screen printed, and very high-quality results are obtained. However, due to the fact that screens are slightly coarser than litho plates, Screen printing is generally not suitable where the reproduction of a picture or photo or a design with tinting and shading is required.

Photo Offset : Used when the reproduction of a picture, photo, or a design with tinting and shading is needed on the face of a DVD. A commonly used printing process in which printing plates are prepared (usually from films); there are as many plates as there are colors to be printed – usually 4,5 or 6). Each plate picks up ink from a roller, and lays down its color image on the printed object.

Videofiles accepts electronic files in the latest versions of the following graphics programs:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Hi-RES JPEG and EPS
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Acrobat
